buy these watches from various defense auctions and other disposal
sales they are brand new and may
need replacement batteries. They had originally belonged to a security
company who we presume had them for a while and decided to enter
them into the sale. These watches are greatly reduced, and once they are
gone, we would not expect to be able to obtain anymore. It’s the first
time we’ve seen this watch in any of the sales, so we presume there was
just this one-off batch.

The MWC 100 m G10 models in stainless steel are one of the highest specification G10 military watches in production anywhere in the world with a hybrid mechanical/quartz movement. The
MWC hybrid watches essentially combine the best of new and traditional
watchmaking technology. They encompass features from both our
conventional automatic and quartz models resulting in a hybrid ultra-low
maintenance movement. The hybrid movement has a battery powering the
movement through coils and a quartz oscillator, but the hands are
mechanically actuated and controlled. Essentially the movement is
mechanical except it’s powered by a battery and regulated by a crystal,
the only thing it doesn’t have is a spring. This watch offers the ideal
choice for buyers who would prefer the sweep secondhand as seen in
automatic watches with the hassle-free maintenance benefits of a quartz
watch.
Although this G10/98 Specification watch traces its origins right back to our earliest G10 designs in the 1980s, this 100 m model with hybrid movement is something we have not made for several years, but a number of dealers said they have regular requests for a G10 hybrid, hence this re-run.
The watch has a smooth satin case finish, which is quite popular with many clients who don’t want a watch that looks so obviously military, which is the case with sandblasted cases. The satin watch has a generally much more refined appearance. The end result is that this 100 m water-resistant G10 watch is unique and extremely functional with a high visibility dial.
All of our G10 100 m variants are very rugged is designed to survive the most extreme of conditions. It is supplied with both a current issue gray NATO webbing strap and a black strap, although we can supply a wide range of straps in other colors if you wish to buy another variant as an additional strap. The back of the case bears various contract markings (which are unique to each watch) in addition to the serial number.
